I’ve been very keen to pursue a more eco friendly lifestyle this year.
So far, I’ve been trying out different soap and shampoo bars made by independent artisans, with great success! (I’ll aim to do a write up on what I’ve been using at a later point.)
The one issue I have is that I do miss dry shampoo.. The problem with aerosol dry shampoos is:
1. The mess. The dust produced by dry shampoos is appalling. (It doesn’t matter what brand, more settles in the room then on my hair!)
2. The waste. As aforementioned, the amount of product lost is a real annoyance, but also there is the issue of the packaging – an aerosol can and various non recyclable plastic parts.
So with that in mind, I’m now looking into making my own! Here’s an infographic recipe I found online. I have got to say I am looking forward to trying it!
So I’m having a clear out. I am a hoarder. This isn’t easy!!
First thing to get listed this year:
This is a Wrath of the Lich King collectable mug and key chain, from the MMO World of Warcraft.
Never been used, just stored in its box. But has to go!
Tuesday 1st – New Year’s Day.
Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th – Dark Moon.
Saturday 5th – New Moon and partial solar eclipse.
Monday 14th – First Quarter.
Sunday 20th – Aquarius begins its season.
Monday 21st – Super Full Moon and Lunar eclipse.
Sunday 27th – Last quarter.
It will soon be a fresh new year. As I write this, 2019 is a mere 2hrs away!
I’ve watched many people complain about how terrible 2018 was for them. Usually, the year passes me in a blur, but this time I have managed to reflect.
2018 was the year I lost my beloved Grandfather. It was the year I suffered a breakdown, and the year I’ve had to step down from a job I loved due to mental health.
To say 2018 was a terrible year for me is an understatement. But I’ve managed to reflect and realize exactly how bad things were. (Something I am seldom able to do due to the chronic ”head in the clouds” syndrome I have learnt to embrace! )
This year I want to better myself by:
Completing my crystal healing course.
Improve my mental health.
Spend more time working in the garden.
Meet up with friends more often.
Improve my income (benefits are beyond lousy!)
Lose weight! (need to get in shape for my brother’s wedding in New Zealand in 2020!!)
There are many other things I would like to add to my ”to-do for 2019” list, but better to focus the above as to avoid being overwhelmed!
So to everyone:
May you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night, and a smooth road all the way to your door, and all the best for 2019.
The science in quartz! Well worth a watch 😘
